Music Ministry and Concerts
Music at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ is a sacred ministry that enriches the worship experience of the congregation and grounds the whole church in the love of God.
In keeping with the rich tradition of sacred music in this church, our Adult Choir, Concert Series, and the Choral Scholars Program are an integral part of our worship experience.
The PCUCC Adult Choir rehearses on Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. and before service on Sunday morning. There is a place in our choir for all who want to sing, praise, serve, and keep alive the Spirit of hope and faith in the world. All are welcome to join!
Through our Concert Series, Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ has held performances by groups such as Chanticleer, Inscape Chamber Orchestra, NH Master Chorale, UNH Chamber Singers, and the Yale Whiffenpoofs.
In the Spring of 2015, the church members voted to establish the Choral Scholars Program as a new community ministry and outreach. Each year, up to two Plymouth State University students are awarded scholarship funds for their participation in the Church Choir during the academic year. These students sing with the choir, perform solos, improve their music reading in a comfortable setting, interact with members of the Plymouth community, and build their résumé.
The Plymouth Festival Chorus at PCUCC, directed by David Williams, will be returning for a 2024-2025 season. Click here to learn more and register to sing with us.
